Or Michelin Pro4 Endurance V2 if you want the smaller side (700x28c)
-
• #3853
They've been replaced by the Power which are meant to be just as tough but roll faster. Although it means you can now get the Endurance for cheaps.

Took the dive on the Marathon Supremes, were only £25 for one on eBay!

Seems to be "replaced by the Power which are meant to be not quite as tough and roll slightly slower..."
All at the extreme margin, of course.

Doing Flanders in April. Can fit up to 30c
Challenge or gravel king? Tubeless?
-
• #3859
I'll go with S-Ones
-
• #3860
If I were to do flanders again and I would use the grippiest tyre I know of and that is not the S-ones. the cobbles of the Ronde de vlannderen are tame. My choice would be IRC RBCC tubeless.
If using tubes then Challange strada Bianca is what I did Paris Roubiax on. they are the best tubed clinchers I have ever tried. So comfy and robust.

Just go for the highest volume you can fit and use latex tubes.

As I was slightly surprised to discover yesterday as I sat on my arse in the middle of a roundabout.

Currently riding conti gp4000s 28, which measure at 31, so most 'normal 30c will fit I imagine.

• #3864
Why not stick with the Contis?
-
• #3865
Did Jake take these?
-
• #3866
Lol no. The contis are great summer tires but they are never going to get me up a cobbled climb in April. Last year I rode Vittoria open paves, which were very grippy but very fragile
-
• #3867
Not sure why you think Strada Biancas will be any better
-
• #3868
They look more grippy than the contis and it's very difficult to buy open paves (since they stopped making them)
-
• #3869
Had them in the past, those were great tyres, however cannot comment on their performance in the wet.
-
• #3870
Have to says I been using GP4000sII as a winter tyres too, it work great in the winter as well, and reasonably tough (rode them in london's famous London).
-
• #3871
He did, I'm afraid.
-
• #3872
They will, I've used them for exactly this purpose.
-

60 miles on Compass Snoqualmie Pass yesterday, running them tubeless. Buttery smooth. 10/10

Having done 3 long weekends around Flanders, once on S-ones and once on G+ Corsas the latter wins hands down. Latex tubes, obvs

once again to voice how impressed I've been with GKs, even on frosty icy roads have been good so far.
