  • Some people! I love fork gaiters, they really work protecting the fork seals. Is there no centre stand to make dropping the forks out easier?

  • Ah man that looks awesome! I have a dream of tripping down africa on a dirt bike.

Need new tyres for the ktm, called the new local motorbike place, wants £80 more than I can see them online for. Really cba doing myself again, I'm too weak!

  • I ordered mine from FWR, got them sent to my local, and they fit them for £20. Mind you, they work with one another.

  • It was really fab. I'm still on a bit of a comedown really. Caved and bought a bad souvenir pic...

  • Sweet jump bro

  • I've got more air on my GSXR but is was all they had... :)

  • I was going to say I could have gotten more air on the harley but even driving it off a cliff wouldn't get the wheels off the ground.

  • Tha poor camera needs a deep clean

  • Fuckers pinched my 125

    Anyone selling anything ?!

  • Yeah I live out of london now. Or would go FWR, used to live near there.
£20 is cheap for fitting! Lucky.

  • So my old man is rekindling his mod days and has bought a Lambretta to rebuild. He's quite handy in this area having done several vintage Jags and MGs over the years. I want to get him a period correct helmet for christmas.

What should I be looking for?

Current pic and what it'll look like when finished...

  • I hope he keeps some of those scrapes and knocks and doesn't make it as neat as the one you posted. I like them to show their age.

  • He'll ride it lots once it's done but it will be close to showroom condition when finished if his past projects are anything to go by. Needs repainting and you can't really cut any corners on chroming etc once you've had that done.

Tempted to get a bike licence so I can ride this.

  • A Bell open face is pretty period but not cheap. Personally I only wear full face helmets, things have moved on since the 60's...
I found an old pic of my first lammy, check out my frikkin Ramones barnet, didn't need a helmet!!!

  • Looks a beauty. Sounds like they're comparatively easy to work on.

  • Hello, I'd get him The Complete Spanners Lambretta manual by Martin Round for Christmas- loads of proper, real world info on building lambrettas

  • Everoak racemaster silver

    Everoak corker white

Better still , why not get a vintage fishtail parka or a pair of suede hush puppies?

  • The Lambretta looks much more friendly to keep in running order. The one hing I'm finding with the Vespa is that bodywork gets tatty and it's hard to do much about it because it's all forms part of the chassis. On the Lambretta you could whip panels off and prepare/paint them off the bike.

I don't have anywhere warm to work on mine so it's proving hard to keep it in decent order. Needs lots doing to it...

  • I'd love a Silver Special, a friend loaned me this beauty for a fortnight in San Fran.
Lammys have a lot of parts and they tend to shake themselves loose, 'panel rash' is a common sight where one doesn't attach properly and goes for a slide down the road. Another draw back is the vibrations compared to the monocoque Vespa design. They look better though :/

  • Silver fox. And the Lammy's alright too, etc etc...

  • Freecycle for anyone interested.

Stuff on the left is "XL" but more like a snug Large if you're wearing a jumper. On the right is "L" but fits over the stuff on the right so go figure...

Whole lot for free, collected from Bromley.

  • There a proper ratty but daily used lamvbetta in Glasgow looks amazing.

  • Just fittied one of these; http://securityforbikes.com/removable-ground-anchor.php

If anyone needs a ground anchor that is removable, this is the business. Really good product.

Plus dry roads today for first time in weeks, good to get a lean on.

  • some bastards stole my bandit this morning from my driveway.
was an ace bike. super fun and super reliable.
    farewell my sweet prince.
