Thanks guys. My other track bikes are fairly modern (2 BMW's & a Histogram) and the last few bikes I've built are geared ones. It was fun putting this together, I had forgotten how fast it is to put a track bike together. It's pretty cool having a 1 inch steel pista bike again, haven't had one in 3+ years.

Waaaw, nice!

very nice! would look also good with the blue shiny fizik tape i reckon, matches the decals innit? yellow saddle to make a nod with finishing stuff to the decals (blue red yellow) and then taking the risk of making an actual mess of it.. ;)

This is excellent. Someone used up all the leftover paint at the factory?

Asked my girlfriend if she wants a watch or a bike for christmas.
Bought this, sold by Albuch Kotter and seems like it was made somewhere far east:
Unfortunately the lovely sparkle magenta is really scratched. And the frame weighs 3300g. But it has canti bosses and all the eyelets.
Will replace a Peugeot mixte with Shimano positron and steel rims.
Really like this mixte seat tube lug.
Managed to get everything off and there will be a shower of parts arriving, first one was this Stronglight bashguard that fits the parts bin cranks quite nicely. -

I've got various saddles I'm gonna test out eventually; a white perforated flite, a black flite, a red supercorsa concor, a NOS black selle royale cx and come to think of it I've got a yellow/blue flite on my Land Shark that I could borrow (see below). It might work. We'll see.
Tape-wise it's only gonna be cloth tape. Classy and cheap so making a mess won't be too much of a problem.

@Sig_Arlecchino the former owner tried to mask some rust spots I guess. He did the same thing with the forks (on the picture above I already removed some of the paint). It will ask some solvent to have it all removed.
I was kinda hoping the paint of the frame would have been really bad so I had a reason to have it resprayed. :-) I just bought it because you don't find those Corsa Extra's easily with chromed stays and lugs.

Thanks dude, I'm actually grateful that you didn't bid!
Here's some close ups of the wheels for you.

Had to throw this together quick with the random bits from my ambrosio to get to work on. It's complete now but I need to slam the stem, didn't want it clamping the steerer lower than the bung inside though so it needs cutting first, and needs swapping with a 130mm. The force 1 ring isn't staying on there either, it will go back to the red one with a derailleur. But I didn't have enough time.
7.5kg with no lightweight parts at all.

It definitely went for a sensible price but the accumulated shipping costs, vat & import duties put me off. Really glad it ended up here and you definitely did it justice with this build, wouldn't change a thing tbh. Those wheels are absolutely lovely, too!
@WimVDD I'm feeling the dilemma you're in. With a bike like that, one always feels like a caretaker even if the colours are somewhat ugly. The chrome lugs & rear triangle are really nice, there was a team Stuttgart with chromed lugs & rear triangle on ebay for a while - needless to say that it looked stunning...

You can buy my Team Stuttgart and I will have this one rechromed and resprayed in Stuttgart colours... ;)
The guy that mostly does the respraying for me (former Pro Frank Hoste) had Eddy Merckx for a visit some weeks ago. He had a completely ruined (the paintwork, not the frame) Corsa Extra that belonged to a close friend of his (former road pro Fons De Wolf). It was a teambike from the ADR Team and Merckx came to ask him if he wanted to respay it, giving him directions and advice how to get it as close to the original as possible.

I really appreciate the offer but I know I shouldn't even think about it - 7,5 bikes is already 50% above my initial self-imposed limit and apparently I'm not very good at letting bikes go ;)

This looks chopped... also anti

Haha, I know the feeling. I sold 2 or 3 lately (bikes that even didn't were my size) and even that hurted so much, I HAD to buy this Merckx. :)
I need some advice: I putted yellow outer cables on my Professional but I'm not sure if it's too much yellow or not.

Many functional winter commuter. 28c ribmos have been epic in the wet
Got my Somec Pista from 89' up and running in non period correct form. Still needs some minor tweaking but I like it. The Cinelli pista bars are gonna go when the compact bars and another stem gets here next week and I'm also gonna play around with a few saddles and see which fits the best. All in all pretty stoked.
