  • Is the GMT a dual time watch or does the GMT hand just indicate the 24hr version of the time? All the pictures seem to show the latter and reviews seem surprisingly quiet on exactly how it works.

Also, how does it wear in terms of size? It looks fairly chunky from the specs (42x14mm). Cheers

  • Dual time...

  • Either or - you can set the hour hands independently, so you can either have the time in 12 and 24 hour format, or a different time zone.

I'll get a picture of it on my wrist, one second.

  • 6.5" wrist

  • How much for both, Neil?

  • £400 sound fair? That's less than the Vintage GMT costs on its own.

  • I do like that GMT.

Please don't let that put any of you off.

  • Don't worry, we leave that kind of thing to @ChainBreaker...

  • Ha

  • Frickin' bargain! Deal! Will PM now.

  • Boo.

  • I've not had a PM yet, Dan might have been trolling me.

  • I sent one this morning!

  • Are you an on-line shop or bricks and mortar?

  • Did you find that PM? Im interested in the military.

  • Anyone interested in buying my gold Seiko 5? It's an SNKE56. Bought it on here new in the box years ago but have barely worn it. Includes the original packaging and all the links. Has some tiny marks to the top left corner of the bezel which you can see in the pic below but is otherwise perfect.

I have no idea what it's worth because I have no idea what I paid for it :/

  • bricks and mortar store in Abingdon , oxfordshire

  • My old hometown!^

  • Oh Hai! I live about 20mins away.

I have an old Omega that needs servicing I might bring it in in the new year.

  • sweet , yes pop in and will get it sorted .

  • I've lost the stem out of my Timex, what online parts retailer is recommended?
(assuming since the old one got pulled out, I can just buy a new one and shove it in)

  • Can you post model number of watch?

  • timex compass watch - 1854 - T2p287

  • I thought cousins might have something but I can't work out the movement number from the model number. Also, it appears that cousins only sell Timex stems and not crowns as well although somebody with more knowledge than me would be able to find a mostly matching crown...
