  • You know when you get one of those projects where everything just falls into place beautifull?

Well this definitely isn't one of them. But it will be great when it's done.

I wanted this frame & fork combo since the start of summer, but bought a cheaper Langster instead, which I then sold. Luckily it was still around. It will be a nice fixed beater with some decent, if tatty, parts and big tyres.

Problems I've had so far are:

-A pedal stuck in the cranks that just won't come out - the seller was very clear about this and the price was very (very) reasonable, but it just won't budge.
-The front wheel I bought last week not fitting in the forks - I managed to overlook the fact that it had a 10mm axle
-The bars I bought are a little bit too narrow for the grips/lever I bought
-I have two rear wheels - one has fancy bolts and the washers are missing (though hopefully on the way) and one is yet to be built.

All of these can and will be overcome - though unfortunately just by buying new stuff. Luckily I found a brand new Omnium left crank for £37 and a cheap brand new front wheel on Ebay.

  • the floor is nice tom

  • You can have the orignal steel forks from my Genesis if you want something to tide you over or borrow my spare front disc wheel.

  • making the best out of sick leave? looks good and fun. wheel decals are smart.

is the front wheel for qr or through-axle actually? otherwise spotters remark is a bit void.
is it gonna be disc front as the disc mounts on the fork suggest?
