It tells you how bad the old kit was when that has to be considered a major improvement.

All GTs to have teams of eight next season, a decrease from the nine that's been the norm in recent years.
Expect much hand wringing when the Tour is dull again due to the dominance of one or two teams.

The UCI tell the race organisers to get stuffed;

so wait. Are they now not being reduced?

So, who won the last time the uci and aso had a disagreement?
-

The UCI. Which is why ASO want to get David Lappartient, current French Federation president, elected as the next UCI president.

Some good news, Lotto-Soudal's Stig Broeckx is out of the coma he's been in since an incident with a race motorbike at the Tour of Belgium back in May.

Jesus, 7 months? That must be heartbreakingly hard for his family and team-sounds positive though.

ANyone heard anyting about Alex Peters?
-
• #9441
He's got another year at Sky.
-
• #9442
But he had an incredibly light racing schedule in 2016. He didn't race between the national champs and the Japan Cup in October.

It's like 2006 once again
-

Not really...Tbh I stuffed it my first year as I didn't end up the 'right' side of the road leading to the Velodrome and if you are on the wrong side you're a bit screwed as you can't obviously cross the road (not armageddon - I just watched it in the Velodrome bar).
It's free (though there are some hospitailty bits inside).
I got there early doors in 2015 but you can get a good spot in view of the main screen until about half an hour before the race ends. The quality of your view of the track/screen diminshes as the day progresses and you get a worse spot, though not enough to ruin the whole thing.

It's weird huh. Tao made the right move racing U23 for another year, to get that experience and head kicking in.
I wonder if we'll see Alex in a bigger race this year, I hope so. He's an amazing rider. -

I've seen nothing that suggests he was injured, but to not race from June to October indicate that he had some kind of problem. Especially as teams usually struggle to fill their rosters towards the end of the season. He did well at the Japan Cup, was 6th I think, so he must've been training hard for a month beforehand at least.
Let's hope he gets more opportunities next year.

Yeah I hope he does too. He is a class above the uk. So how he develops onto the world tour scene.

(not displayed, as slightly unsuitable for people who can't watch a pic with blood - although there's very little of that and the victim is fine)
