I was worried about the 9mm thru-axle too, but it turns out that you can put a standard hub in by holding the fork legs apart slightly. The hub axle collar will just go into the holes. I use the QR stalk to keep the wheel in.

It's feasible to spring a 9×100 through-axle fork open to fit a normal 108mm long QR axle. You end up with something intermediate in security between a normal open dropout QR and a proper through bolt. It's more of a get-you-home bodge than a sensible permanent arrangement.
Cotic also sell one for about £10, if I recall correctly. DT Swiss also sell a more expensive one.
Out of interest, as I'm interested in 9mm thru bolt hub, what's the recommended Superstar Components one?
