The bend that creates tyre clearance ended up being too close to the BB, but additional length at the other end of the tube will mean the finished frame's 'chainstay length' is the same.
So yes, an error at the factory.
The same tube will be used on various frames for Dolan, and for other brands who use the same factory. Once formed, they'll be trimmed and shaped at each end to suit each model of frame..
This thread has been brought to my attencion and i would like to assure everyone that we have rectified this issue re truative/ sram omnium crankset , it was caused by the chainstay being cut to close to the bb shell which meant were the bend moves out to allow tyre clearance the outside is closer to the crankset which causes problems for some chainsets ,we have now rectified this and hopefully our 2017 batches will be universally compatable , for the customers that have had this issue we have either offerd a refund or free upgrade to the TC1 , I hope this goes some way to explaining this issue and thank everyone for their input .
