Took delivery of some HUNT Aero Wide wheels this morning. Only have a quick look at them but they look super slick. Will report back after giving them a whirl at the weekend.

I've just gone to do my returns form and notice collect plus states "Parcels must be under 60cm (L) x 50cm (W) x 50cm (D) in size."
I'm pretty sure the box is bigger than that?
-

Advice from CRC was that Collect+ usually don't care re size and Hermes are totally cool with double wheel boxes.
Royal Mail/Post Office have size restrictions so they aren't an
option.Collect+ will take it although their dimensions says they won't.
Experience has proven they aren't too fussy.Hermes will take double wheel boxes and they come to your house to
collect it. The only other option would be to use Parcel Force but
unfortunately this service is not included in the free returns service
and there would be a £15 charge. -

Are they immaculate?

My 1st encounter with Collectplus.
There's a store/collection point in the High Street. Stroll up to be told this Newsagent only accepts 'parcels' upto A4 size.
Not happy!
Carried the two boxes back home.
+ve a mile of walking exercise.
Will continue my Livechat relationship with Eric from CRC tomorrow. -
• #7059
That is rubbish. I've given boxes significantly larger than that to my local collect plus before, but its a sainsburies so perhaps they are more tolerant to taking larger boxes. Maybe try a different drop of point?

CRC LiveChatperson Eric not available this am.
However Kylie has organised for Hermes to collect from mespilus tower on Monday.

So is it still best value from Rose Bikes, (other german online cycling websites are available), even with these devalued post-Referendum exchange rates?

Noticed while fiddling with my gears yesterday that my freehub appears to be dragging. When I stopped pedalling (with it upside down) the cranks would continue to spin with the wheel.
The wheels are DT Swiss R24 spline db disc. That's the 3-pawl freehub. Is the fix likely to just be a case of taking the freehub off, giving it a clean, lightly greasing it and putting it back together? Will I need to replace bearings?
Does the freehub have its own sealed bearing? The DT swiss tech docs just seem to suggest the hub has two 15x28x7 (6902) bearings.

Just finished talking to CRC customer service regarding the R24 wheelset from the Black Friday offer. He claims they weren't aware of the problem until the 16th and refused to consider any form of compensation, until I'd returned the wheelset, as they hadn't experienced this before and hadn't compensated anyone else.
He said he'd arrange for someone to pick it up though... -

You can have a copy of the transcripts of my LiveChats if of any use to you.
'Eric' & 'Kylie' could not have been more apologetic and helpful. -
• #7065
That might be handy. I'll wait and see what they say and then pm you if necessary?
-
• #7066
You can have mine too. "KatieM" was very good for me too. On the 15th of November. Lying bastards saying 16th was the first they heard of it.
-
• #7067
Just let me know.
For what it is worth,
the Sales Support responder from Madison, the wholesaler between CRC and DT Swiss seemed to have no idea what it was they had delivered to CRC. -
• #7068
I told them myself on the 14th and asked them to just keep it, as tracking showed it hadn't left the warehouse yet. They told me to wait and see what would show up.

...and the farce continues. I agreed with 'Scott' yesterday, that the parcel would be picked up by DHL tomorrow, Wednesday, between 9am and 1pm. Rescheduled a few things to make it fit my calendar and he promised to get back to me with a confirmation within 24 hours. Didn't hear anything from them/him and just got hold of him on the LiveChat:
"I never added the notes regarding this to your order and I cannot even confirm whether I sent the request."
Impressive customer service... -
• #7070
Send a shit in a box. Addressed to Scott
-
• #7071
To be fair: He apologised afterwards and the pickup seems to have been sorted now. Time will tell...
-
• #7072
When I am inconvenienced by companies I remind them that I will need to be compensated for my time, and not just at minimum wage.
'Kylie' confirmed the £25 gift vouchers first offered as compensation for the wheels being not as advertised, when I was thinking about keeping them, remain valid as compensation for my wasted effort attempting to return the wheelset through Collectplus, and printing off the required Returns Notes.

And it fucking continues:
JESPER
Alright then. I'll wait. But just to be sure: You said '15 minutes' 10 minutes ago, then you said 'before 5:30' and now you've just said '5:30'. Doesn't your customer service close at 5:30?
JESPER
I just want to make sure this will be sorted today
SCOTT
I am here till 6pm but chat finishes at 5:30. I will contact you Jesper. You are my main priority. I messed up and will resolve this for you.And then:
SCOTT
Funny enough. This is booked now. I will email the information across to you. Frantic 10 minutes there for me because I also speak to other customers on this line of communication as well as sorting out my own mistake with your collection.
SCOTT
I appreciate your patience.
SCOTT
I will email you now <- This was at 5:08pm and I still haven't received any confirmation, they've closed both their phones and live chat and I'm left wondering if I'll see a DHL van tomorrow... -
• #7074
Just for a laugh, have you checked your junk inbox? Chain reaction emails go straight there for me for some reason...
-
• #7075
I had. And then I sent a mail, which he replied to around 7:30pm. And it actually looks like DHL are going to show up tomorrow...
Just completed my CRC Returns Form,
and
will drop off the NOT DT Swiss wheelset at the local CollectPlus store in the High Street.
So which wheelset should I buy?
