Survived Gawton's HSD track (High Speed Descent)
Gentlemans parts got slammed into the top tube when i broke the chain.
Didn't hit any trees.
Racing a rigid 29er is a bit too rad for some.
Snapped chain again.......
Don't think i came last.
might have some photos later :) -

excellent day out yesterday, the mud is back in epping
thanks tom for guiding around the trails in the forest, had a blast
lots of rear wheel sliding ,much chewing on grit and soilthe back route up to chingford is a lovely little route, saves having to sit on the boring canal path for 2 hours there and back plus some nice little section

Found 3 of the broken links, never snapped a chain before, must be all the single speeding.

New XT cassette, running 1x9 most likely cause was poor shifting on my part while chasing a fast lady up a steep hill. The second snappage was most likely damage caused on the first snap as it was the next link along.
Chain lasted rest of day and had done some miles pre-race, but not with me stomping on pedals.
Normally i would have got off and walked, but you know, racing girls and loosing :)Will spam the surly thread later, just fitted the Monkey Nuts as i did get some tyre buzz when stuffing the bike into berms.

@BareNecessities not a SSMTB so can't post there :)
This got raced on sunday into 3rd place, old Norco Havoc had a great chat with the rider about the old north shore bikes and did his come with triples fitted like on the Torrent.
Model year before his had the Jnr T triples up front :)
I kinda miss my 04 P3 my first race bike :)

Never raced it, but I kind of miss this. Ultimately a bit short*, despite being XXL size.

Freeride Frenzy chuckoffacliffable :)
Used to see loads of Coilers and stinkys.Someone had a freak bad landing, his baggy shorts got pulled in by the back tyre, he sort of sat on the linkage, then bottomed out the suspension, gentlemans parts between linkage and seat tube....... did he scream :) he bent the linkage-rocker arms. He had a short travel Cowan next and the chainstay cracked.
Happy days -
