Have you tried disabling them one by one to see which one is triggering the error?
I'm guessing it will be the Cycle Map (as that one has just been updated to 2016.20) - did it seem to update correctly (Garmin Express should prompt you to try again if it didn't)? Also, have you put the 5.1 firmware on yet?
Assuming you mean the 820 the general consensus seems to be that you should leave them all enabled (or at least, people disabling them seem to run into other issues later on as far as I can tell). The simplest explanation of the 4 maps (which are enabled by default) on the Garmin forum seems to be this...
INTL Standard Basemap, NR -> gmapbmap -> global basemap (no routing info)-> keep enabled.
Garmin Cycle Map EU 2015.10 -> gmapprom -> detailed map for display and routing. The "Garmin Cycle" map has detailed image and routing data. (You need this or an equivalent map for navigating).
Edge DEM Map EU 2014.10 -> gmapdem -> Digital elevation database map -> enable if you want to pick a generated route based on elevation.
Garmin Geocode Map EU 2015.10 ->gmapgc -> addresses to coordinates map -> enable if you want to select an address/etc to route to. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.
