The Field got it's first 'ultra-distance' outing this weekend in a ride from the most Easterly coast of Japan to the most Westerly coast of Japan (Tokyo to Niigata).
This traversing of the entire width of Japan, from the Sea of Japan to the Pacific Ocean, took in 369.5km and 2,084m of elevation gain in 14 and a 1/2 hours (moving time).
Out of interest, my longest ride prior to this was around 190km.
If anyone would be interested, I'd be happy to do a write up somewhere.
