What's up with Uniqlo selling selvedge stretchy jeans for £40? I wonder if they're just embellishing regular denim with a selvedge seam...
Selvedge stretch is a thing. Some dislike it, some embrace it. The candiani mill in italy was very proud of theirs. Stretch denim is about 80 percent of all denim. Not offering selvedge stretch would be a big missed opportunity.
Personally, I'd never wear it.
It's more the cost that surprised me.
I like climbing in stretchy jeans but that's about it.
