I think he's got a good chance. Who else are they going to vote for? There's no Tory candidate, I can't imagine the Labour candidate will do much except split the anti Goldsmith vote. The Lib Dems might make a good showing
I think if Tim Farron wasn't perceived as a bit of a non-entity (and of course if the Lib Dems hadn't been the plaything of Cameron and Osborne throughout the coalition years) then their candidate would stand a better chance. But we'll see.
