Thundershirts come from Tellington T Touch therapy, which I have been studying. I have another lesson this Monday. Both of our dogs have been in their Thundershirts this evening. One of the ideas is that by adding a gentle physical stimulus it helps a dog find new ways to react to situations and other stimuli. It has been really effective with our two hounds, our bitch has been much better this year with the whizz bangs, but this evening has overwhelmed her. Last year she spent most of the evenings coming up to Guy Fawkes night hiding under our bed, this year today has been the only time she has completely cowered away and hidden herself in the bedroom.

In my quest to learn what the fuck I need to k ow to own a dog I stumbled across a product called a thundershirt for dogs. Apparently excellent for calming dogs during storms or fireworks.
You don't need to buy the product, snug bandaging around the body has the same effect from what I have read.
