How is BF1 on PC using Xbox controller?
Any good or is it designed for mouse/keyboard? -

Clearly a bug with the forum.

Frustratingly Bootcamp gave a graphics driver update that wiped the regedits I'd made so have to go through the tedious process again to play BF1.
Looking forward to a games console.

Skyrim and W3 are both a tenner pre owned, so £24 is a bit much.

Not sure if trolling or naïve...

x-post from Encrypt All Things, but the current Humble Bundle includes DisplayFusion. This is great if you game PC + TV (or have multiple monitors)
So I bought the bundle but for DisplayFusion. I have 2 monitors + TV connected. Steam big picture gets confused, and even if my audio moves over to amp Windows resets it to 2.1.
Set up two monitor profiles with DF, and the wrote some script in it to auto switch to "gaming" profile (TV only), disable other monitors, switch audio, run a regedit script to make SURE the audio is configured 5.1 , run Steam Big Picture. When you leave Steam, it switches TV off, back to monitors and minimizes Steam. It's all bound to key combinations as well, not yet managed to get the PS button on DS4 to register with Windows, but eventually.
Only gotcha, during DX12 games steam big picture crashes in the background. Games carry on fine. No clue.
I really wish Windows would stop renaming my amp/tv devices. It seems almost every time after reboot I have a new "device" for audio output that's set to Stereo. Even though it has the same registry key (well most times, I have 3 for the same TV now).
Also UAC kicks in on the registry load, I know I can turn UAC off but I'd rather not do that.

Looking forward to a games console.
Xbox? I just so happen to be selling a new one.
-
• #16009
Hmm, how much? And new as in the little slim one?
-
• #16010
Yep, new/slim, new/unopened box with Fifa 17 (not claimed the download so that'd be new too)
In the classifieds atm at £220

So tempted to get BF1 but the paywalled online play for PS4 pisses me off.
Spend over 300 quid on console, then another sixty-odd on game and you can't just provide servers?

I know I know but that's never going to get a pass in my house.

I bought this bundle from Tesco for £199 in September...
-
• #16015
Yeah, I'd want more than £17 off (compared to Tesco/Amazon) to have no warranty :
-
• #16016
Its the price of ~2 beers a month, and you get free games into the bag.
-
• #16017
Yeah, it aint that bad but it's just another subscription service on top of Amazon Prime, Netflix, Spotify, Pact, something something....
-
• #16018
You'd have a warranty once registered with Microsoft
https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/warranty-and-service/register-your-product220 was based on MS having it at 250. If Amazon and Tesco are doing 237 then happy to take the same off that price

Looking forward to a games console.
Late to party but I just found my old N64. Good as new and still boxed. Has Golden Eye and Perfect Dark and some others. Yours for £300. (Set at this price as wife wants me to get rid of it and I said I'd look at selling it). PS1 (unboxed) £250 and PS2 boxed at £275. Xbox 360 only £280.

PsPlus is worth having.
£40 a year (can be got for less with cheap credit top ups, check frugal gaming for current deals)
Cloud back ups, online gaming, free games every month (admittedly been a bit poor of late.)
If you have a PS3 and/or Vita you get games on there too.I agree is was a bit of a kick in the teeth after being free on the last gen. And for the reasons you state. But there is a silver lining.

PS4 Slim 500gb + Battlefield 1 + game of your choice, £240.

They've built a lot of really cool shit and given it away for free, too. I'd have thought that the Remote Play thing (where you can play PS4 games on your laptop if your missus is watching the main TV, or watching Netflix on the PS4, etc) would've been subscription, but it's totally free. And it works brilliantly. I'm happy to pay £40 a year to get the free games and this stuff too.

Anyone want an Xbox 360? 2 controllers. Some games. Don't care how much, just want it gone...
W3 is far better (imho) than Skyrim (have over 150 hours in both).
They are both great games though
