  • Got Delta Cruisers on my commuter, pretty bombproof, no dramas from potholes and broken glass with them, the tan sidewall gets dirty quick.

  • Glad to hear they hold up well.
Not surprised about them getting filthy, tis to be expected after all. Right now they're a vast improvement on the yellowy, cracked and rock hard old white randos that were on there before.
Have just ordered some 2mm adhesive neoprene sheet so I can hopefully soundproof the shitty squash to fit bridge they came with, along with anywhere else it may touch.

  • When's the new saddle coming?

  • CX bike update, please ignore the bar angle.

It is pretty damn comfy tbf.

  • Picked up a Peugeot alpina and kona fire mountain in lovely condition. Any ideas for builds? The peugeot is an absolute tank.

  • Does anyone have any experience with Sram S700 levers? The right 10 speed lever can be had cheap on cnc-bike (comes together with a caliper), so I was thinking of buying 2 of them and take the gear internals out and use it just as a left brake lever? Is the shape of the hood the same for the left and right lever? If this works it would mean 1x10 hydro together with calipers for 180€!

  • Should be relatively easy to do, removing just the shift paddle is normally really straightforward.

  • Is the shape of the hood the same for the left and right lever?

Possibly, but the brake levers on SRAM are definitely handed, they cant outwards

  • Ah, I didn't read that properly before.

Are the calipers the same front/rear or would that be another issue?

  • Is the shape of the hood the same for the left and right lever?

Not seen S700 in the flesh, but all the SRAM levers I've had my hands on are left and right specific.

  • Thanks, maybe I will try to track down a left hydro lever with defect gears in E-bay...

  • Rychtarski is ready for winter. All 12.75kg of it.

  • Woow what makes it so heavy? The rack? Hi-ten? ;)

  • Will have to sort out a new seatpost but otherwise I'm quite happy. Paint is incredible under the sun.
Should also have a new commuter soon as I broke the last one.

  • That seat tube is massively steep.

  • I know how you feel... my Goldsprint is not light with the rack either...

the difference in momentum takes some getting used to!

  • should I rattlecan the rack?

  • the difference in momentum

you should move out of Islington
