They're easy to service. I got the gf's another year or so of life each time I stripped it down. It now has a better Shimano freewheel fitted but will eventually need a proper regrease, repeat.
I didn't know you could get to the bearings? I presumed ChasnotRobert was talking about a single speed freewheel.
What does a pin tool actually look like? Googled it and got a freewheel lock nut and a pin spanner. Can't work out how either works to get to the bearings
