  • Yes, cheap parts and then you're flushing all the grease out of them if you're spraying them with GT85!

    If you want to service them, pull the cover off with the required pin tool and grease the bearings, don't spray them with WD40, GT85 or any other shit that's not a grease.

    I don't really want to service anything; just want it to work. I'd be happy to replace each year or so but every couple of months seems a bit excessive.

    Previous ones were left to their own devices so I thought I'd try a bit of TLC on this one but now see the error...

  • They're easy to service. I got the gf's another year or so of life each time I stripped it down. It now has a better Shimano freewheel fitted but will eventually need a proper regrease, repeat.
