Yeah, to be honest, I've always avoided anything with an external battery pack as it just seems seems like something extra to go wrong or weaken with use (particularly as a standard micro drive will run for 24hrs on it's lowest setting and still fry your retina if you look at it!).
As you've probably gathered, I just fucking hate having to send things back.. stares at pile of Rapha stuff with stitching issues

I've had to send my Hope lights for repair several times (Vision 2, District+). Mostly to do with dodgy connections with the cables or battery packs. No issue doing it, even out of warranty but yeah it costs a bit if you send then special delivery.
That said, they're more reliable in the wet and have better mounts than any Cateye I ever had.
