Johnson already starting to be exposed for being in a role he is completely unsuited for:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/oct/15/russian-ambassador-protest-embassy-boris-johnson
Yakovenko, who was appointed by Putin in 2011, writes: “The novel way of diplomacy proposed by foreign secretary Johnson has so far materialised in a lone gentleman with a poster outside our embassy – not something I would describe as a big diplomatic victory. But the very fact of having to resort to (non-existent) campaigners to make a point is, in my opinion, a sign of the state of Britain’s Syria policy.”
It doesn't all happen with a flop of the fringe and calling up some fellow Old Etonians in international diplomacy:
It's like Putin swatting a fly.

I like this guy
https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/oct/17/enrique-penalosa-mayor-bogota-colombia-bus-traffic-un-habitatIf you find trout in a mountain stream, it means the water is very pure, because the trout is a very delicate fish, susceptible to dirty water and a lack of oxygen. This is known as a “species indicator”.
In the same way, I have always said that a species indicator for a good city is to see children by themselves in a street, or elderly people, people in wheelchairs, or women by themselves. If women feel comfortable walking at night in a city, this is a good sign.

slavery from africa
loss of antiquity
displacement of indigenous people
new religions
corrupt ideologybut at least the europeans brought football..

They did do human sacrifice all by themselves however.

Ah of course.
My knowledge of Latin America history is limited.
I'll have to read up more on how the Inca consolidated their empire. I assume it was though a wide distribution of fluffy viscachas and chocolate.
