  • Since upgrading to Sierra I have an issue with iMessage, which was previously working fine. I can send messages via my MacBook, but it isn't receiving them anymore.
Messages I send via my mac don't appear on contacts phones as an normal message from me anymore, but as from me@icloud.com.
There is supposed to be an option within the iPhone settings about text message forwarding, but it isn't where the apple support page says it should be.

  • Messages settings. Look under accounts and make sure it's set to start new conversations from your phone number at the bottom instead of your email.

  • Yep, its set for phone number, but not working properly.
The whole machine is acting weird. I've lost all of the stuff on my desktop. I just have the bars at the top and bottom, and the wallpaper.
