@mdcc_tester : Thanks for the advice, Ye tbh I wouldn't mind some 330's, GP4's, Strada Hardox/Pave or some nice Ambrosio's. Next four years will be some slow ass years in biking terms, in college atm and gonna have to pay some bill$ :) I have passed upon many bargains, all I tend to splurge on now is a retro long sleeve jersey or jacket for casual use. I am very happy and content with my current stable all the same, subsequently there will be a very un-healthy dent to my collection when the college fees, car insurance, rent, tax and printing/college(design) utensils come knocking.

Hmm like the idea of putting some tape there and seeing if it tears. Have you tried that before?
@mk1mark yeh good suggestion. I may do, although I'm happy to just wait for now and avoid disrupting the paint if I can.

I'm also in agreement with Winston. He left it quite open though and didn't seem too concerned.
If the crack does get worse and I still want to ride it then yes I'll certainly get the tube replaced, mainly debating whether it'll look awful if I don't get the whole thing repainted, could maybe just ask his brother to clear coat (if that's possible) the raw tube while I decide.

I'm facing exactly the same dilemma with the chainstay on my falcon. What makes it even more difficult is that the chainstay is chromed and half of it painted...

Just picked op these two beauties. Both are truly as good as new. The first is a Duell Advantage Columbus MAX. The second a Cannondale CAAD4. I plan on fitting the groupset and wheels of the Cannondale to the Duell.

Duells are great! A friend of mine built a neo retro Duell last month:
He bought that silver orange duell tsx that was on retrobike for a while. Note that he did these perfect fades with rattlecans in his backyard. He knows his way around a spray can. Bar angle and STIs have been resolved since the photo was taken.

That home-made fade job is nuts
Clean and put a piece of tape on crack and ride some potholes to see if tape has broken under creak.
