Havent heard great things about Rychtarski lately which made me go for Orlowski for this project. Build quality wise theyre probably the same. I have a Rychtarski track that has beautiful welds and zero flaws build wise, but allegedly his bottom bracket shells are often out of centre or have weirdly placed seatstays. Mine has a lugged Max bb so this isnt an issue. The welds on my new orlo do look lovely however

Thanks, I had really bad experience with two Rychtarski fillet brazed frames close enough to what you mentioned, all the tubes were out of centre, basically waste of tubes. I am looking to get a disc-brake steel road frame with carbon fork. How do I contact Orlowski for a quote?

I can't comment on Rychtarski as I've never had to deal with him or seen his work first hand. But I can't recommend Orlowski enough. It's a really smooth transaction. Jacek speaks great English and communication is really easy. Plus, his prices are very competitive!

Almost rideable. Cranks are spares from a friend till Force 1s arrive, hoses need trimming and I need a new bolt for the rear brake caliper. Also dont want to ride it till the fork is cut and the bung is in, as I've read the steerer can collapse otherwise

Want to guess which bike was my main inspiration?

How does it compare to before when it was running 700c?
I'm intrigued with doing the same conversion on a bike I have.

Woah! Please elaborate on the idea of the frame

Haha not as good as it is now but only photo I could find of it singlespeed! Also just noticed your saddle seems to have come down quite a lot?
Should mention the paintjob on mine was inspired by @Dick 's #allblackeverything stable:

How did you Orlowski owners go about giving Jacek a reference for the paint? Jacek has told me to look at paints from the lines of Dupont, Sikkens and a few others but there's nothing online I can find, and no shops around here to look through.

Pretty sure he told me he could do all RAL colours. So I just found a colour I liked and gave him a RAL number.

I just told him matt black. Kinda hard to mess that up. That said it sparkles slightly in direct sunlight, which i have no issue with whatsoever

I think i just told him ruby red wine metallic :D

Forgot to spam this in every relevant thread:
Theres a sscx thread too right??

And one where you can actually see who makes the frame

Angles, BB drop and tubing are all the same, mines just a bit smaller. Dont i need slicker tyres to fit in with the gravel crowd?
-

Nope, 650's and fatties and you can get your radavist on!

In my head I've planned a wankavist build with drops, bar end shifters, unnecessary carbon rims and frame bag, but this setup is too much fun for me to mess with it immediately

How are Orlowski frames compered to Rychtarski in terms of build quality and consistency?
