I was going to go down the 650b+ wheels route for the stache, as there are a lot more options for mud tyres in that size, but I felt I was compromising, as I love the way 29+ does everything else. Then work released the cycle to work scheme (ours don't do it all the time) and I thought about the type of bike I wanted for less than £1000..... I like the croix de fer, but the base model has lesser quality steel (that reviewers seemed to dislike) and the Genesis vagabond was too similar to a bike I have.....
As our work uses the halfords scheme, it makes it impossible to get Gucci frames, and then I r ad about the sequoia.....decision made ;0)
