still a couple of things to figure out yet. Saddle it's on testing mode nowadays, don't have a strong opinion yet but will give it another month https://postimg.org/image/7e4dbjeib/ -

Sticker is gone. According to internet it's Ritchey Logic Super Tubing. Feels very light.

Nice updates, but I can't believe you got rid of that saddle!

Still have it, but it's pretty tatty. May try and reupholster it, tho that'll kinna kill it...

What's the old chainset?
-
• #110512
I need to do some research on that, it's a triple and French.
I believe those Olmos came with Campag Mirage from the factory. Not sure why the old owner made a mishmash group for it?
Suntour rear, Campag front, Shimano shifters, French chainset...

Looks like a Stronglight 80 or 100. Best quick check is the BCD, those cranksets use 86mm BCD which is very weird. If that's the case I'd be interested in the chainrings (and cranks) as my tandem uses them and I'm looking for spares!

Stronglight would have been my guess, just haven't double checked yet. I'll measure them up for you tonight and let you know.

I got a new bike a few days ago.
I don't think I've been able to ride it in the proper daylight yet hence only having an NDS picture of it at work:
I wanted the SRAM Apex model but it was sold out. I found some Rival hydro shifters for a good price so I decided to upgrade to that instead. Loving it so far, though the thru axle system baffled me for a bit and after I removed the wheels to get it on the car, and then reinstalled them, the discs sound like a bag of spanners.

wtf is that lock tom? do you not like your paintwork?
-
• #110517
It's an Abus discus, it's since been fixed with cable ties so the links are covered again.
But yeah, it's not great.

• #110518
That's lovely! What tyres?
-
• #110519
Also, how you finding hydro?

Those old Scott's are rad. I've got an old Scott San Francisco (cx/tourer/hybrid) bike from the same era in the basement. 700c, clearance for 45mm tyres plus mudgaurds, cantis, mid-fork mounts. Pretty solid (= heavy) & a grey/purple/pink paint job.

Happy, eye popping paint on that. I bet it cheers you up in the mornings when the weather is being a bitch.

Paselas, the old classic gumwalls.
32mm so it rides beautifully.

In terms of stopping power they're great, but I've somehow cocked up the rear rotor so it's sounding rough as when I put the brake on.
-
• #110524
You've contaminated the rotor.

Yeah sounds like you need to clean that shit. Maybe get new pads too.
Dat fork
