"In reply to" within the page and to previous page working fine here on Windows 7, both Chrome 40 and Palemoon 26.5.0 (x64 build of FF)

Try one "in reply to" to a different page... then find another, and try that too.

I keep finding one that doesn't work, trying it again and it works...
