Orlowski. About £100 for a custom fork.

any straight steerer CX fork.

Is the Thorn Audax fork a good fit for the pomp? I'm vaguely considering putting a front rack on mine. Anyone done the same?

Gonna go for Surly Disc Trucker I think. Easier than custom, 390A2C, 45mm rake, all the mounts and eyelets etc. Plan is to fit HY-RD, SP dynamo disc wheel and mini front rack. Combined with the Sturmey 3 speed hub, should make my Pomp a proper complete all year all rounder. Just gonna not think about how it'll probably weigh 15kg.

While the fork chat is going down - what's the crabon, mini-v, mudguard ready fork of choice for the pompino?
-
• #6108
I thought the wire on mini V brakes didn't play well with mudguards ie rubs.
-
• #6109
TRP CX9s work ok. Slightly longer arm.

Depend on the frame I guess, as long you can lower the mudguard close enough to the tyres to ensure sufficent room for the mini v.

Little low, but will work, will handle a smite twitchy.

I'm running some cheapo shimano ones at the moment and they're fine with SKS guards. Much less hassle than the cantis I had on before - recommend.

And for a pompetamine: what's the go to carbon fork with disc mounts please?
Kinesis? -

Kinesis
Need to know this as well. Anyone that can shed some light on this.
-

I think the answer (to the fork question) I've seen before is kinesis.
On a related note, if anyone is looking to shed a steel disc fork that fits a pompetamine, hit me up. Ideally I'd like a straight blade one with more clearance at the Crown than the stock one; I assume this means a nature boy or similar disc fork.

There's the Cotic Escapade/Roadrat fork if you don't mind a 9mm thru axle.
-
• #6117
Keep in mind the cotic fork is 400mm a-c, it's gonna affect handling (some like it some dont)
And since there's not much forks on the market with 390mm a-c, obvious choice for steel fork would be orlowski.

Hi everybody
I have a question : is there someone who tried 40mm tyres on his Pompino ? Especially for the rear wheel, does it touch ?
Thx!By the way, here's mine :

I've never measured the true width, but atleast 42mm smart sams on open pro fit fine with some room to spare in the v4

Anyone know if the Pompetamine and Pompino are identical in terms of tire clearance? If so, a specialized fatboy 700x45 will fit fine in the rear with guards @RKogi
