I've bought (amongst other things) a Sturmey XRD3 rear hub from a guy on retrobike, I was hoping to fit it to my Humuhumu to increase Klunk factor but I failed to think about oln and/or axle length before buying. The OLN is just shy of 120mm and axle length around 145mm.
The axle is too long to just add spacers to make it fit the 135mm rear end of the Humu so I'm wondering if it's possible to change the axle for a longer one? I know the axles on these aren't as straight forward as a normal one but I'd be kinda surprised if longer versions weren't available. Or are you meant to buy a different hub if you want it to fit a 135mm frame?
I could cold set the rear of the Humu frame but looking for less permanent options first.
