Ouch, I don't think I open enough cans for me to spend £40. I had the Sabbatier as a possibility, their other stuff that I have seems well made. I'd like the Normann one but nowhere actually seems to sell them over here and my googling isn't finding any knock-offs.
Random stuff bought from the local turkish shops hasn't progressed to ring-pulls yet.

like I said, if you think fuck me that's expensive, it'll probably last longer than you will..

This place seems to have some left, never used them before though.

Had one of those fail on me mid-service back in the day.

Cheers, unfortunately Panik Design's website appears to crash when you try to buy something. Maybe why they still have them in stock ...
As I expect that within the next 15 years we'll all be eating space food from pouches so I won't need a can opener that outlives me then the Sabatier is looking most likely (or forgetting until I need one, cursing and going for the penknife option).

we had one of these clamped to the side of an armoured catering ATV in the army. it aint pretty but it's indestructible and you can open 400 tins of baked beans in under 10 minutes with it.

It's all about trademark protection as they haven't even expanded in the US yet let alone overseas.

Waiting that long for any food is stupid*.
For an albeit far better than decent fast food burger is fucking daft.
And thats said as someone who stops at the first in n out on the way from the airport whenever I get lucky enough to go back to the bay area.*unless its your only source of food, in which case- this level of food worship is even more upsetting.
