Did you get one?
-
• #133
Nope, SBC and Condor didn't have one. Evans St. Pauls have two in stock so I've given them my money.

Ha - yes. New bike day. First fixed in two years. Had a sketchy moment on the way home where my speedplay cleat unclipped. Need some spd's asap!

So having ridden 50 miles, impressions:
It's a tank. This is both good and bad - super planted descending and there's grip for days, but it is a bit of a pig uphill. Glad for the compact - need to tweak limit screws though as I couldn't use the 28t.
Whisper it, but Shimano is quite nice, got used to the shifting very quickly. Hoods feel weird. It's nice to be able to shift down whilst braking. Front mech needs adjusting, was rubbing in the big ring.
Braking is just excellent.
37mm tyres at 40psi are comfy - think I could drop pressures a bit further. Will experiment.
Based off n=1 it's probably about 1mph avg slower than my road bike, which isn't really very bad.

Liking this! Nice one.

I'd take Speedplay over SPD for fixed, unless you mean SPD SL?

Hoods feel weird.
Maybe raise the hoods a bit? Your wrists are angled quite a bit in the drive by shot. More like this maybe:
Bike looks good!

Nah it's more the shape, that's just how I ride.
Jesus, bleeding hydros. Stressful. Rear is done and feels good - need to pick up an adaptor for the front because weirdly it's a 140mm mount, Where can I get one centralish tomorrow? Hopefully should be rideable for Wednesday.
