You still need something to hold it.
You sure it stripped? Can you try a longer spindle lockring instead to see if it will reach the unstripped part?
Alternately, why not get a new freehubs?

7600 is a track hub, so just throw the freewheel on there and you'll be fine

No you don't.

Misunderstood, thought he meant road hubs.
In that case, yes.

thanks chaps - going to smash it on Mrs Hell's ride - seems a shame to waste an otherwise moderately serviceable hub.

Are you sure it wasn't the other way round?

Mine's the same right now from about the same time ago. I'm ignoring it until it goes away, didn't even consider doing otherwise.

Hope you heal up soon. I tried to book a GP appointment and they said the next available slot was on the 19th of October, so I guess that means I'll be doing the same.

I want a fast winter bike as I use for commuting as well as Sunday rides, one must is hydraulic discs.
It seems that the CAAD12 Ultegra disc would be 'perfect' for me, however I want something a little different without paying too much. I am looking at either the Mason Resolution as haivng a steel frame appeals to me.
The other I have seen recently is a Canyon Inflite which is a CX bike. Is a CX bike with normal road tyres able to go as 'fast' as a normal road bike? I know there are a lot of variables at play, but assuming the ride ability stays consistent....

Can anyone recommend best same-day courier to get an envelope from central London to Northampton today?
-

Will the CAAD12 take proper mudguards? If it's gonna be a winter/commuter bike you'd want it to, right?
-

Call 111 if you think you need to see someone but are not sure who.

you are right, i would defo want mudguards. need to pay a trip to evans to find out if the caad12 would take them.

Have you considered a Kinesis 4S disc? I really like mine, and if the frame doesn't snap, they're gr8! :)

Looks nice but 390mm reach for the 51cm model?! Mad long.

i dont want aluminium. i have a diverge sport at the moment and i am not keen on the harshness of an aluminium frame! :(

Canyon Endurance Disc?

Isn't the CAAD12 disc alu?

Thanks Hovis. I don't think this would be suitable for a winter commuter as it's a carbon frame. I do like Canyons so was debating the Inflite and putting road tyres on it.

GT carbon Grade could be a contender
How many times did you have to type that before autocorrect stopped changing it back to lock ring?
