i had a similar thing happen - went for a scan and had a hairline fracture, got it set and slinged up / imobilised and healed up eventually. obviously this is exactly what your issue is because csb.
Exactly what I did not want to hear.
if something is twingey pingey to the touch for an extended period of time it's probably a good reason to get it checked out.
