Yeah, shorter scale and very, very different sounding... I'm gonna be doing a clean/fuzz thing with it, very little in between and I don't wanna use my Tokai strat... It's the only other single coil guitar I've got, I'm not counting the P90 guitars cuz they've got their own thing going on... Also eyeing up a lovely '69 Thinline luthier's copy that's been put up for sale, bloody lovely... Need a real tele as well, innit... ;

Pure surf too. I bought one just for surf stuff.

The fretboard on the tele is very nice. If it's a '69 guitar I assume it's now-unobtainable Brazilian Rosewood :)

Yeah, I know! I'm seriously toying with the idea of starting a surf band too... I live right on the beach, it would be stupid not to!
And who doesn't like surf music?!? I think I could make a decent bit of money doing it here, live music is still a MASSIVE thing here... Very well paid... We got paid $400 for our last Bad Mongo show, I seriously did not expect to get paid at all...
We're a Turbonegro tribute band FFS!?!

It's a modern parts job, very nice looking tho'... My mate has an actual '69 Fender (in custom black from the factory) and this looks nicer...

There is literally nothing that makes people happier than surf music. It is such fun to play and write and make, even if you suck at it - and I do, I can't play guitar for toffee - but it's just so fun you can't help but love it. It's the exact opposite of being in a prog band.

Are you swapping the klone away? I may have niggling regrets!

May have accidentally bought another cheap Marshall quad last night, a 1960A, I now have my first Marshall stack... #lifegoals

No. Buying moar stompy goodness from @BleakRefs. Snaffled a Barber Tone Press.
I love the Klone dude, sorry! Although I was thinking of keeping it as an always-on "everything better" pedal which would mean that I needed ("needed!) another more spiky TR9 esque overdrive as well.

Dude yes! Make it happen. I actually don't think i've ever played though a full stack. I remember in my formative days the term "half stack" had a kind of pejorative, defeatist vibe about it. As if a mere single 4 x 12 cab was the wussy, travelling light, sensible option.

Also, mate of mine has a £300 budget for a small portable valve amp. Needs a good clean platform for pedals and maybe cranking up at the odd back-yard gig. I suggested s/h Pro Junior.
Any better ideas?

Just spoke to the guy, it's really happening!?!
AU$250 and he's chucking in a mic stand and speaker cable, bargain... It's gonna be a ridiculous rig... 😂
So it's a £100 amp head and AU$400 worth of cabs, cheapest stack ever?

I'm not a big fan of those Fender amps, could he not get a used Matamp/Orange combo for that kind of money?
Great with pedals those things...
I played a bunch of Jaguars through this at Tym's yesterday, absolutely magnificent amp... Would buy it if I had the cash, the reverb on it was astounding... Little Australian maker, had never heard of them before trying it...

Sure it sounds good but it looks a bit steampunk for my tastes.

I've seen prettier ones, what about Ved's Matamp? That's a little baby one too, with a white front panel, aesthetically much more pleasing.... Probably isn't this one but this is lovely, love the old logo...
