  • I'm thinking the black/grey Shimano throughout will look better atm

  • Yeah, ive looked at other chromed ones but i'm a fan of the ride on steel frame with a carbon fork.

  • No better time to rob a bank than a bank holiday right?

  • No better time to rob a bank than a bank holiday right?

  • Will keep my eyes peeled for a matching fork.

  • my bad, thought it was 6800.

ed. turns out my memory served me right, I checked again and @jambon 's AX is definitely sporting a 6800 ultegra

@LeChef that's when they least expect it although technically it would be burglary rather than robbery if nobody's there

  • Yep briefly had sramano but now running 6800 throughout. @LeChef Campagnolo Potenza in black (or silver)?

  • Indeed if going for Carbon fork a black groupset would be nice

  • Cheers pal but i've all but given up now. I want to get this thing built. Carbon is calling

  • Thats my thought exactly

  • Ill look into it

  • Nearly finished

  • ^ Tidy!

  • Wow that rocks!

  • Real nice. Does it handle okay with that stem?

  • I like the use of a threadless carbon fork! makes the stem cluster much nicer than a quill adaptor.

I know, if I recall correctly, that you didn't have the original fork right?

  • Yeah it rides really well

  • @LeChef very nice, great choice on the frame and group 😉 Any thoughts on the ride? My first impressions were smooth and stiff, if you can have both at the same time.

  • Both your brake quick releases are open!

  • Yeah no original fork. I waited as long as i could and it would have been nice to have one but i just wanted to get it built. The Minimal is a lovely fork too, really light and rides lovely

  • I think it can be both yeah, and i would definately agree with you. I was suprised at how stiff and responsive it was uphill, bordering on and alu frame feeling. I think the carbon forks and 25's help with the ride but it was really smooth, even on the terrible south Wales roads. I can't wait to put some miles on it!

  • My mega rapid now running 10 speed.

  • Yeah these frames were and are well know to be great for climbing.

I love how the black carbon fork works with the groupset and the frame itself.

  • You and me both, still excited to rack up the miles on my Moser. Yeah climbing it's great especially, i enjoy my non compact chainset as you just get on with pedalling with very little deforming around the bb even when dancing on the pedals.

@krankers love that. Personally not a massive fan of the stem but together black bars/saddle and gumwalls look spot on.

  • I've tried to keep it black with minimal silver highlights. My favourite little details are the Columbus and the Selle Italia logos.......i'm sad. I'm looking for a black headset to round it off, the one pictured is only temporary. I was initially thinking Campy record, then Cane Creek 40 (apparently the don't fit these forks without filing the crown). Not sure which way to go..
