Good info.
I've only just enabled SendGrid (an hour ago).
I've shifted notifications to it too... and amusingly broke all links because I have HSTS enabled on microcosm.app and the email click tracking (which I use to drive an alert in case the system goes down) broke because SendGrid don't do HTTPS on their redirects (I CNAME them).
As for Auth0 and email deliverability... this is why SendGrid is now in the mix. It will take a little while for the new IP I've bought to warm up and for everything to settle down. Until then, some systems will defer delivery for a while. I'm going to increase the validity period of the code.

chrome / osx ... logged in using my google account which has the same email as the old persona login. Worked fine and continued to work when I came back later (ie, didn't need to log in again).

Also still seeing green.
But hey, it's based off of Gravatar, so you can pretty much see what it should look like yourself:
- Lowercase your email address
- Go to http://www.md5.cz/
- Enter your email in the md5 field
- Create an MD5 hash (if you've done it elsewhere it needs to be lowercase)
- Put it in the gravatar URL:
Yours is:
https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/49e81a417f5f8eabe3c77b5d42db3498?d=identiconMine is:
https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/309cb01f0a25f751e7294407d983f801?d=identiconWhy is mine a photo and yours a geometric thing? I have a https://en.gravatar.com/ account and an avatar associated to my email.
Why is my photo not the same as the one on LFGSS? I uploaded a custom avatar on here, which overrides Gravatar.
What is the avatar associated to your LFGSS account? It's the one I linked: https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/49e81a417f5f8eabe3c77b5d42db3498?d=identicon
What could possibly have caused it to change colour? Gravatar are serving the image, so something on their end may temporarily be glitchy.

What avatar do I display on LFGSS:
- If you have a custom avatar on LFGSS then I display that.
- If you have a custom avatar on Gravatar then I display that.
- Finally, if no custom avatars are defined, then Gravatar will invent a geometric one and I display that.
- If you have a custom avatar on LFGSS then I display that.

New system worked fine for me on all my devices: Lumia 950XL, Nexus 5X, Jolla C, Windows 10, Mac OS X in all their browsers (yeah as a frontend dev now, I use many of them so usually have them logged in LFGSS)
Perfect. I might have created one with the Microsoft Account thinking it would ask for the LFGSS e-mail to link them up. Oh well...

A very niche observation:
last December I went to Shanghai with 'this' laptop, (W7, upto date Firefox, AdBlock Plus),
and was unable to Log in to LFGSS as the Persona-based log in never resolved as 'Google is not allowed in China', (probably not the best words but an accurate-ish description).'This' laptop is now W10, upto date Firefox, AdBlock Plus, and has re-logged in under (?) Autho through my Googlemail account.
If I go to China again, my limited understanding tells me I will once again be unable to Autho Log in as 'Google is not allowed in China'.
Please correct any misunderstandings or presumptions I have made.

If you are able to check your Google Email through a VPN or any other method, then you will still be able to login by using the email login mechanism with your Google Email address.
If you absolutely cannot connect to Google at all by any means, feel free to let me know and change to a non-Google email whilst you visit China.

Hi Velocio - I have got back into my account, after entering a code sent via txt. All I've done is edited my profile to reinstate my user name & avatar...My account is started again from today - but that's no big deal. I signed out & got back in, so all is well in my world...hope that's all (?) Cheers.

Hi dude all my stuff seems to have disappeared and I have now some random user name
ta swampie -
• #265
That's a big deal. It means the email address you signed in with differs from what you used to sign in with.
If you PM me your old username and what email you may have used I can give you back your original account.

Things you probably don't want to do:
- Receive an email login code, mark it as spam.
Marking an email as spam in your email client will tell the mail provider to return emails as spam. Mail servers will see this and will NEVER send another email to that address.
If you mark any email from any Microcosm site as spam... you are risking that you will never be able to sign in.
I include a link in the footer of every email to the screen whereby you can stop emails: https://www.lfgss.com/updates/settings/
I strongly recommend that if you want to stop notifications you go there.
I also strongly recommend never clicking "spam" if you care to ever receive email from that source again. It's not something I have any power to undo. You will lose your account.

Many thanks your answer,
and its suggestions.Action 1) Find VPN 101 to ensure I cn explain to firms I represent what they need to offer,
Action 2) I suppose I should stop freeloading from Googlemail and get a paid- email address. -

After yesterday's announcement from yahoo and hacks they updated all security locking you out plus flikr . Anyway after several hoops it seems to be working again.

@user68513 given that you have a new username and no posts, I'd guess that you used a new email address and you used to be someone else. PM me the details.

It looks to me as if Scott could do with some account magic:
Email from auth0 looks good from a DKIM/SPF point of view, at least my MTA is happy with it. I guess that's more sendgrid than microcosm, but still it looks alright to me.
auth0 works for me on Firefox/iceweasel on Debian unstable as well as opera-developer on the same. When I ran email via greylisting it took so long for the email to arrive that the auth0 code had expired, but I'm not sure I can blame auth0 for that.
