No. He doesn't. Greatest British cyclist of all time, no challenger.
I presume he knows he didn't have the form to be competitive and so just rode his road bike. Because I doubt he's lost he love of winning and racing. Also I wonder if he didn't want it being about him. I know last year at the TOB he was happy to ride in the service of his young team members and help them be there and try win. He's a good guy.
