Brave. The pro test rig is more sympathetic.

That's a Specialized? you sure that's not a prototype?

• #129
Look like the bastard child of an old Cannondale;
-
• #130
Yes - it's the test rig.
And yes - it has a suspension type gizmo at the front.
And an integrated tool box in the middle - natually.
And yes - it needs to die in a ditch on fire covered in poo.

So, looks like an electric bike, but without actually giving you any electric assistance..
-
• #133
The route looks almost as phallic as you would if you were to ride that Specialized.
-
• #134
The box isn't permanent. You can take it off. I think it would be quite useful on a long ride in the summer, a 400 or something of similar length.
Haters.

To be honest, I thought that was a good idea, a better place to put it than on the saddle bag, or bottle cage mount, althought have no idea how it work in the real world.
My only nag is that they could not shoehorn an actual pump in it rather than those crappy Co2 cannister.

Whisky No7? Conveniently I have one for sale...

I love the fact that Specialized spend 5 years with McLaren in developing the suspension system, whether simply fitting either bigger tyres, or 650b wheelset will reduced the vibration massively without lost of feedback.

Stem based suspension has been around for years. Its shit. Is this steerer bases suspension meant to be better?
Surelu it would feel crap doing any kind of switch back descending.
-
• #139
Maybe... Although big old CX axle to crown... How much steerer is there and how much money are you after?

is there an issue in the world of bicycles that doesnt get solved by bigger tyres
-
• #143
No

Next year's TDF will be won on this.
*maybe a more aero version

Was going to build my fatbike like that.
Much better for long Winter rides on snow roads.
But went all fat lefty hardtail on a whim.
To be fair I reckon it'd been slow regardless, and the suspension helps me not die so often riding Down frozen trails.

You obviously need bigger tyres..
-
• #147
The ones I have now dont randomly detatch from the rim.
....which is Nice.
