Your's has a bit of age? How old is it? Certainly putting a sticker on a '59 could be construed as a mistake :]

It's somewhere between 1970-72... Norlin pancake job, still lovely mind...

I ordered the Pedaltrain, happy about that... Spent enough to get the free shipping then I got them to send it to me in Spain instead of Australia...
Stupid jet-lagged idiot that I am... At least it'll be a little roadworn by the time I get it home... Or something... I'm a jackass...

So, new abode has plenty of space for sittin' and pickin' but does not have a dedicated toddler-proof man cave. Dammit. So i'm going to have to either do what I do now, which is keep guitars stashed away in cases with only one out at a time and keep that safely hidden behind a chair or whatever OR hang a few on the wall.
I've always avoided wall hanging as I felt it looked a bit naff and anyway, you still need to keep the cases somewhere. Any ideas for non-ostentatious guitar storage that keeps them in reach and away from sticky baby hands?

Would a guitar rack work?
Pedaltrain arrived, it's fucking ENORMOUS!!! 15" MBP for scale...

Huge. You'll have to buy moar pedals.
I have a 6-guitar rack but it's a bit vulnerable to small people. Partly my own fault as I started teaching my small person to strum guitars and gave her the Guitalele to play with as soon as she was old enough to sit up. The upside is that she knows to strum guitars gently and not whack them. The downside is that she likes to strum any guitar she can reach and she's about to start walking which means nothing is safe.

Sexcellent excuse to buy a road case!

Couldn't you put a baby gate on the mancave?
-

Heh. No mancave. I'll be out in the open. Not sure a roadcase would meet with the interior decorator's approval. Hmmm.

Just finished the fret job on my telecaster.
The only bit I'm waiting on are pickups which I'll order tomorrow - hoping to get a sound out of it in the next couple of weeks :)

• #4266
Yeah, I got one in the end... Just got it home, no dramas with being over my baggage allowance either... The flight case is full of clothes atm...
Gonna mock a board set up tomorrow, looking forward to it!

Cheers chaps - just waiting on pickups, and the shielding to do in the meantime, then it should be pretty quick to finish. Although I've been saying that since about April... :)

So the gigs over the weekend went well, my Tele sounded fab... Here's us doing an in-store at Tym's yesterday... Much fun had... Starting new band absolutely immediately...

Haha - you're still debating ;)
I quite like it (on someone else's guitar, of course...), but not sure I would do it myself; what's the finish like on LPs of that age - could you get it off safely if you're not keen?!
The bridge / stop and pickup covers on that are great btw

Pathetic, I know... How's your King of Beers bass going? 😂

Pretty, ain't she? It's a water slide decal so it'd come off fine... I'm in no rush, I'm gonna do some silly pinup decal stuff to my TV Junior first anyway... Not much to do around here... 🙃
It's a totally wrong and silly fanboy thing to do to a vintage instrument but I don't really give a fuck, I'm not convinced I'll do it just cuz I'm not sure it looks all that great... Time will tell... I'll deffo put one on the TV junior, that WILL be fun!! Maybe two of them in a Johnny Thunders/Steve Jones/Sylvain Sylvain kind of homage...
