What a cunning stunt.
-
• #7006
What is that on the path 3 secs to go?
-
• #7007
A cunt?
-
• #7008
At 0:03 seconds there is an animal? Person? Just curious as I can't make it out and was thinking the c@nt in the car could have hit it is all.

What is that on the path 3 secs to go?
Just looks like some taller flowers/weeds/grass to me.
-
• #7010
@danstuff will know. Maybe a fen tiger?
-
• #7011
I dunno. I was born in London. Even if I am a member of the EDCC. They're all just 'animals' to me. Usually squashed ones on that road.
-

Ha, I grew up with the legend of the fen tiger.
Jaguar sized footprint supposedly found alongside the farm track I used to commute along (through Pemberton's farm between Haslingfield and Grantchester). Not great hearing about that when I used to commute with Ever Ready style rubbish bike lights.

Then Fen Tiger is not a legend. It's real.
It now costs you £10 a year for permission to use Pembo's farm tracks. Times is tough and they need every penny, obvs.
How old are you then? I reckon you must know someone I know.

- Barton and Meldreth Primary schools. Comberton Village College 87-92. Hills Road 92-94.
Grew up in Barton, Hardwick, Gt Eversden but mostly Haslingfield.
Pemberton was fine until I started to sneak through the farm on my moped. Had many a shotgun fired in my general direction at some ungodly hour of the morning.

Driver on his eighth conviction for driving while playing with a phone pleads hardship if he loses his licence. Magistrates let him carry on driving, 6 weeks later he kills:

You've got a few years on me then.
How about the Winton-Smiths? Know them?
-
• #7017
Sickening.
-
• #7018
jesus.
does this suggest that the justice system is fucked or working entirely as intended?
-
• #7019
At some point the justice system needs to man up, brave a few years of outrage, and start treating driving as a benefit that needs to be earned and maintained rather than a right.
-
• #7020
Agreed. I'd say the system has failed the killer here too. 9 years of his life lost, a death on his conscience forever. There's every chance his behaviour could have been altered if the magistrates had shown him the seriousness of his actions sooner.
Deeply sad for all.

Some good points, my driving instructor always told me to look twice, as he said one glance won't do.
I'm not sure I look at 3 different distances I should try that.

The geezer looks like his head has melted to accomodate his phone.

Had a Hermes driver repeatedly threaten to kill me and hit me with his van yesterday in Soho after I had the audacity to shake my head at him after he cut in front of me while I was maintaining a safe gap to the car in front. Pretty sure I got the whole number plate, best to just report to Hermes or anything else? Not on camera or anything but a club mate did happen to see the end of the incident...
-
• #7024
Both police and Hermes, make sure you mentioned that he treatened you with a weapon.
-
• #7025
Disgusting.
Really interesting, thanks. I think I might actually invest in some hi vis...
