Punctured a tub 'training' at the weekend but Pitstop seems to have held it. On the plus side I seem to be faster up hills already, despite being heavier.

Pitstop=weight

Training wheel innit (last years Wolber). Still haven't glued the new tubs.

Jealous of new kit-might have to get some fast tubs to make me feel better about the national being after the first 4 weeks of uni.

What do the regulations say about saddle and seat post. Not much sitting done on a hill climb.
And you can lose the bar tape shorely
-
• #461
I do lots of sitting in hillclimbs - 8 minutes up Burrington Combe is a long time to stand up and it's less efficient.
Bar tape is about 5g, sweaty hands make it worth it.

That is fair enough. Do you still wear gloves?
I'd get the drill and start making holes.
-
• #463
No gloves.
Drillium... maybe closer to the National

Why stop there, you don't need both saddle rails.

Wouldn't that be worth twice as much as the rest of the bike though?

At what point will you change the frame? Surely this has to be the biggest weigth saving

Probably never - I like the Vigorelli, it's the bike I've had the longest and the only way it really gets used these days is in HCs. True there's an easy 500g to be had, but it's all just a bit of fun really unless I find 50w and get below 70kg.

• #470
Though it would make <5kg pretty easy.

When it's HC season but aero is still everything

Ever wondered about the weight difference between different stem lengths? I know I have! Well wonder no more:

130mm weighs as much as 120mm?
-
• #475
Weirdly yes
This is probably getting quite boring to follow now.
