It doesn't matter because your aim of "lighter front wheel for winter training" is all kinds of wrong.

Yeah, it is originally designed for smaller diameter front wheels. But they have a 100mm OLD model.
It is relatively lighter to a front wheel with a PV-8 is what I meant

Has anyone used the SP SV-9?
I'm looking to build a lighter front wheel for winter training than using the PV-8. Does the SV-9 generate sufficient power in a 700C wheel to power a front light going at a reasonable speed (20kmph+) or charge a D1?
