Today was a good day. Did a V5 boulder route. It's been a long time since that happened.

hey people, I'm going to the arch in bermondsey all the time, so let me know if you are and let's climb together! not very good but very enthusiastic. thanks :)
-
• #604
Yet to climb there... I work in south so it could be a goer.
-
• #605
@platypus @Well_is_it I've started going before work. It's quiet, cheaper and you get free coffee before 9.
-
• #606
Nice! That might be even better. Arches before work, Castle after...
-
• #607
I miss the Castle. I'm staying south during the week at the moment so it's a bit too far out of my way. The Arch is great though.

What's their grading like? I find some places grade all over the place depending on who's set them and some V3's can be well 'ard and some V5's can be too easy.
-
• #609
I think it's a touch easier than the Castle. They have a lot more cross over with their grading though which makes it quite interesting. There's a lot of v3-5. Also different styles depending on colour coding and the type of holds in those colours.

I try and go to Bermondsey after work once a week since it's a short trip from Canary Wharf and a colleague climbs there. I'll drop you a PM when I know which day I'm going next week
-
• #611
Drop me a line too. I'm usually up for it if I can fit a climb in.
-
• #612
Will do! Would be good to get a decent group together. It's usually just 2 of us.
-
• #613
Yeah!! I can't recommend before work enough. It means being up pretty early but the post work crowd are enough to make it worthwhile.
-
• #614
I go to the Arch twice a week when I'm fit. I'm not fit at the moment... :(
-
• #615
There's a paradox in there somewhere :)
Go climbing twice a week = profit.
-
• #616
great so many people are around!
I work part time so I can do before work or after work etc etc.
Shall we organise a group meet at a particular time?
-
• #617
I'm away for a couple of weeks, but after that I'm in for meeting at bermondsey.
-
• #618
I'm considering an early one tomorrow. Anyone about?
-
• #619
Well, that was a good start to the day! Let the smugness commence.
-
• #620
Haha. What did you do?
-
• #621
Only got up early and went and had a pretty good session before work. It makes me feel very righteous of a morning. That free coffee makes it so worthwhile!
The humidity was pretty high though. Everything was a bit slippery.

Any recommendations for men's climbing leggings? Looking at So Solid because garish is good. Any others worth investigating? Currently wearing OH's Black Milk. She no impressed.

and @Well_is_it @Thoma @NurseHolliday @Drakien after a while away I'm now back climbing at Arch Bermondsey pretty often. Anyone around the next few days? I tend to climb between 4 and 7pm but am flexible.
Also, anyone up for a ride to Arch North in Edgware? It's a trek, but the route takes us up through the hipster spice route and hampstead heath, not a bad ride, and you arrive well warmed up. Arch north is massive, varied and awesome. I'd love to show a few people the route and the centre, spent 6 months building it last summer.

I would love to join in as the ride last year was v. enjoyable, but I'm recovering from tendonitis so it'll be a few weeks before I can climb again.

@winnifred1849
Yeah!! I'd be up for that. I'm not in London as much at the moment. 2 nights a week mostly but I'm up for either Arch and also for checking out your handiwork.
Can I see a picture of your prussic biner sling combo to get a better idea of keeping it steady please
