• The SRAM female chainring bolts are tall (more thread engagement/to compensate for being made from alu/so you can use that 6mm hex key to aid tightening), so assuming it's OK to use the BB spacers, you could probably get the clearance you need just by replacing the female ones with traditional steel ones. They'll be less tall so would be more likely to sit flush in the hole rather than protruding as pictured.

    Are you putting your bargain disc & spoke on this bike? It's going to look class!

  • One of the spider arms is different and leaves as little room as the female chainring bolts on the others, so changing bolts wouldn't solve it. And also, like @Chak says, spacers are a no go. It is the new frame yes, I'm awaiting a reply from Dolan.

    Sucks that I'll need to wait with building it up. Think it's gonna be a fun bike. The bargain disc and spoke is definitely going on it. I've already rebuilt the tri-spoke to a front, just need to glue on a new tire. The disc is going to need some more work to redish and sort the chainline - but I think it's doable.
