It has crossed my mind but I'm not sure my missus would be happy about it. I've also thought about some Aussie point to point records but to be honest, when I go back there, I'm just happy stuffing my face with Cherry Ripes and Iced Coffee, cycling takes a back seat :)

I did ask if anyone was riding back
I passed a guy near the Greece-Macedonia border who was going the other way with bikepacking luggage on. I did wonder if it was Kristoff on his way home. Was relieved to see he was still around when I got to the end.

No interest in that "Race to the Rock" from Adelaide to Uluruu that Jesse Carlson is putting on?

Sadly I don't and won't have PayPal.
Please let us know what you know about her? She sounds fascinating. Her Tumblr blog is well worth reading. Short posts but very to the point.

My mate tried to get me into that. I'd like to but the trip to Oz and the time it takes is pretty huge. I'm already going back for Xmas (2nd time in 11 years) and I'm keen on hitting TABR and TCR in 2017 so don't really have time to travel back to Oz to do the Rock. Also, it's off-road and I'm trying to get rid of bikes, not buy new ones! :)
Someone buy my old Kinesis...

I'm on a Sitero at the moment. It's not bad but I'm looking to try out the lesser padded version of what I suffered on during TCR, the PN1.0 (I had the PN1.1). Perhaps I should stick with what works in 24hrs though, the Road which I think is now called the PS something.

I know nothing about her, except she has the same pluckiness as Rose. I especially like the fact that she hasn't specifically asked for dosh to keep her dream alive (as some others did).
Lastly, there were times when I relied on the kindness of strangers on TABR- karma is being restored. -

Nevermind the bikes, you'd have to buy a lot of bottle cages and mount them against everywhere :/
Also, this is real champion talk mate, with nether regions like mince meat and you're keen for more. You guys all did a stellar job. So much awesome. I shall be frantically refreshing the GPS tracker map next year, too.

She wrote this before she left Taiwan:
Frankly, reason tells me, the race is too difficult for me; too much
pressure, too far away, time is too tight, and cost too much money. I
don’t have the ability to reach the finish line. But by the emotionally side, I believe that I can do it! I imagine the
endless road ride, hungry, tired, unknown, fear…. but I still want to
rely on the only thing I got – willpower to complete the raceThat is what has kept her going.

Humans can't remember pain.
I'm not 100% healed but it's not stopping me commute. Not sure about racing or longer rides but I have 12 months to recover :)
Cheers

You have to want to finish. If you're not racing for a place, that finish line is all that keeps you going. Bastard finish line that keeps moving further away...

ha, your famous navigational skills dude

Great stuff!

Must be very hard to motivate yourself when the finish line has been long packed up
-
• #4194
I'll just cycle around then.

Mind you Turkey probably isn't the place to go wild anymore, might get mistaken for a coupist or whatever the term is.

Me or her?
@hippy Dear chap, how could you think such a thing? I just thought that a ride to Melbourne would be a good warm uo for the return journey.
