Do you have any rotor recommendations for HyRD's btw?

Look better and better quality. Those hopes are what I'll be going for when a new wheelset happens. Bombproof. Real good price as well.

where is cheapest to buy?

Oh no idea. Haha. Check chain reaction. If you have British cycling membership use the 10% off code.

I'm a fan of SRAM's centerline range at the moment, but they're bloody pricey. They do run super quiet though as the channel in the middle doesn't scrape the pads.
They're even better when combined with quality pads. Organic if you can...with the only caveat being they don't last as long...If you beast your brakes. -

Although £225 for a set of tune disc hubs is pretty good. 32h only though.

I have a Hope Mono Mini 183 sawtooth disc that I have inherited from a goodie bag of disc brake stuff. Brand new and it needs a good home. PM if you can use it. A bit of something for the forum is all I ask.

Will you happen to be in London when the rims arrive? If so let's talk xx
-
• #2140
haven't ordered any rims yet but had to order those tune hubs as only 2 left in stock (being paid quarterly sucks but pay rise 1st oct). i assume the 15mm QR means they are either 15mm or QR and come with adapters. exciting
now which depth rim to go for on light-bicycle

Can someone please explain the pros and cons of post mount versus flat mount?
My frame builder has just asked if I want post mount of flat mount fitting on the rear drops. The build is specced with an Enve CX fork, which I believe is post mount. Having same fitting front and rear seems to make sense. Also, the Ultegra Disc groupset I am looking at is only currently in stock with post mount brakes. For those reasons alone I was going to go for post mount.
Am I missing something? Or should I just go for post mount.

aesthetics and I guess thats where the road disc are heading/headed. There is no price diff between PM and flat mount calipers now.
You can get these (there is a flat mount option): http://www.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-brakes-and-pads/shimano-st-rs685-hydraulic-disc-brake-mechanical-sti-s-pair/11211789.html
Compile a groupset with separate parts and use a flat to post mount adapter in the front.
if there is no cost diff get the rear flat mount and once the enve flat mount forks are out replace them if you feel OCD .. tbh they might be out by the time your frame is done .. or this: https://masoncycles.cc/blog/aperture2-is-coming
Enve:
