Just wondering also, do you have any documentation around the whole process of the modifications when it was done? Any correspondence with BMW or anything to actually prove it was done in house by themselves etc.

I've got mail from Seth Rosko, he used to work for BMW. I bought it from him and he told me the history. It had been hanging in his workshop for years before I got it.

For sale: Early Brooklyn Machine Works Park Bike - modified

I've got an early Brooklyn Machine Works Park Bike for sale. This has been modified from the original by the guys at BMW.
Park bikes take a 24" rear, this has been modified to take a 26". From what I know they cut into the dropouts and modified the rear brake bridge. They've also added an ISO disk mount. Due to the modifications the bb has dropped slightly. This was done just before they came out with the original Big Ben, a 26" based dj bike.
This bike also uses an eccentric bottom bracket.
The bike rides but it needs some work. I bought it as a project but I don't rode it enough and can't see when I'll get it finished.
When I got it the rear wheel was out of true so I got it rebuilt. I've replaced the disk pads but the rotor is tight and can rub against the pads. I've struggled with the rear clamp and have had the wheel slip during breaking. I'd been planning on taking it to a framebuilder to get the dropouts looked at and possibly replaced. This might not be a problem if you're only jumping it, but on the street it's not ideal.
The paint is pretty ratty and chipped in places showing signs of having a hard life. The chainring has some bent teeth and the rear cog is quite worn.
I don't have the exact parts spec to hand but I'll update with it.
