• I was thinking the same.. although for the time being I believe is safe to say fifth.

If the won't let Carlos and Neil out of Montenegro that might delay them and favour @skinny and then there is only Peter Sandholt between him and the 2nd place.

Only concern is, what about resting?

  • Neil Phillips taking the same route up the parcour as Kristof, does that mean it has been changed or sanctioned?

  • Well to me this reads as boring and windy hence the hesitation. Did you enter?

It looks like @hippy and Andy Sallnow (#144) are having a race within the race. Loved how hippy passed 144 while the dot was marked as resting and then it immediately took off and repassed him :D

  • It is truly incredible, the guy is flying.

  • @FrankTheTank is doing good, keep on son!

  • Presumably yes. It's longer and hillier than the official parcours as shown on track leaders too :-)

I estimate that skinny is approximately 65km from CP4 (assuming he follows Kristof's route).

Rider number #56 Hansi Nyfeler appears to have two choices...
    (a) he looks at his tracker and sees the Neil and @CarlosBI route. He's only a few km outside of Plana and if he reroutes there and heads up the M20 to Gacko then he is only 60km from CP4
    (b) He follows the Peter Sandholt route which will be c.120km.

If #56 follows plan A then I'd say that he and skinny should arrive at CP4 together. If he follows plan B then skinny is already in 5th place.

Looking at Skinny's sleep pattern (post illness) it looks like he's due another nap soon. Neither Sandlot not Nyfeler appear to have a discernible sleep strategy and neither seem to have had a substantive stop for days.

  • Looks like he's turning north...

    such excite! #AllezSkinny

  • @benjam I'd be interested to see your cross check build as I've done one recently. I'm looking at some audax but need to build up to 600km. Will post on audax thread.

  • Looking forward to the post race write ups already. Lost quite a few work hours last year reading those.

  • @skinny's going to get 2nd place isn't he? Absolutely awesome. Chapeau.

    Yes.

  • Shit, just got to Gracac in Croatia today to visit some of my wife's family so I missed @hippy coming through. Been travelling for a few days but was wondering if this would be a popular route.

See @bananaskid is headed this way though so hopefully will catch him rolling through town.

  • David Coulon has scratched.

Very sad moment. His ride last year was momentous.

Sad, yes. Hope he tries again!

  • Neil (no. 172) has posted here a few times

So what's his username? He should be added to the forumenger list.

  • I think it's @neilp - he's been active on this thread previously, but I'll be damned if I can find it now.

    Found it, page 50.

  • Yeah its @neilp he also rode last year as a pair

  • Of course, for me, he's more famous as being the person who jumped in the lake after the London CX League race at Wivelsfield Farm in 2014.

It was probably drier in the lake.

  • According to freeroute, Skinny's equal fifth now. Second through sixth place are so close it's down to sleep schedules at the moment.

  • Aha, I've talked to him about various things, should have joined the dots. :)

  • So that's two more for the list of forumungers found just today.

And, of course, David Coulon posted once!

  • Hippy in 12th i think - I'm looking on phone now. Powerful day for skinny and phenomenal ride from Allagaert - what the fuck is he?

  • Oh no Hans! Where ya going?!?

  • Roughly how far in are the front riders? 60% or so?

  • Combativity award goes to @skinny

  • Yeah but Darren, his arse, and Hippy are having the most fun....
