Looks like hippy is into the hills.

... and should only lose an hour or so to Wacker and Muehlethaler as of current standings.

• #3154
He's confused the hell out of trackleaders though, which seems to think he's on his way to CP4 instead of 3 :)

178 has scratched I think... she covers Lyon to Chamberry (c.100km) in a couple of hours. She featured in the documentary about last year's race saying that her family live in the alps so she presumably hitched a ride from Lyon and is now heading home.

Number three looks like he brought a kilo of gak to a ket party.
Currently halfway through Croatia and making beeline for CP 5...

• #3157
Looks like Skinny and Hippy should be at CP3 around the same time.

They could form an alliance. Skippy, if you will.

Edit: Beaten to it. Glad to hear it, as others have said, his twittering has been very entertaining.

Once again, I take a look on Google Streetview to see hippy's location. Absolutely stunning.

• #3165
Yeh he's got nothing the complain about in that department :)
-
• #3166
Wait until he's in the proper Dolomites.

FreeRoute appears to be behind the times. Looks like hippy is defo top ten now, but it's still listing him as 15th

That's a real pity. She was going very steadily.

• #3169
Kristof said he'll go ahead and wait for the control car at cp4
-
• #3170
He's been stopped (STOPPED not sleeping) for 5 and a half hours in the last 4 days and fifteen hours. I'm really struggling to comprehend this.
-
• #3171
not accurate-there's two speed/time graphs, one of them looks like people never stop, the other actually shows rest periods.
From what I can tell, he stops about 4-5 hours each 24 hrs, and doesn't seem to take many (if any) breaks.

Indeed. Would have loved to have watched. Somehow.

Hippy passed CP 5...

Ah, now that's far more comprehendable ... Oh... Wait....
I explained this thing to a colleague today "oh, let's do it next year". I'm having him sectioned.
Yeah, I dunno. She did the TCR last year and got through Italy before scratching so navigating shouldn't be an issue.
