Hate to say it, but your setup looks a little......anti
I'd much prefer different saddles, and I appreciate the clips/clipless mix though it looks inconsistent. I think it's that stem at the front that gets me, and the weird stoker bar setup. But overall, the colour looks great and you did an amazing job converting it from a rough and typical tandem into a go-faster tandem.
Also, if it's too tall for your stoker, use a saddle with a much lower profile, as brooks style saddles are very tall - road/race saddles that are a bit more aero are flatter, and there are comfortable options there too. If it's too long, consider flipping the bars so it's more like a porteur for the stoker (or lose the layback seatpost and use an inline). If it's the standover height, get a new wife.

Hi pdlouche, saddles are B17's we have had for 30yrs, aint going to change the comfy ness lol., like you say, pedals are personal, wife not confident (even after 30yrs of riding) to go clipless. the stoker bar is off a Longstaff I had and puts the bars just right, I'll post another view of the front stem.

I reckon a silver quill stem and a silver/chrome pair of bars would make the cockpit pop. The bars look overkill

Hi tandem people, I posted my query with no luck in "any questions answered".
I'm under the impression that, although the bb is fitted to a tandem eccentric shell, it's not tandem specific... But maybe I'm wrong."There's a possibly stuck BB (I didn't abuse it so far before understanding what it was) in the eccentric part of a current project tandem...
I managed to remove (wasn't easy, must have been fitted dry many years ago) the 2 lockrings (no reverse thread on non drive side) but I can not tell how it's inserted. It seems like there's no thread inside, like if it was a push fit (maybe like some Mavic BBs).
What is it and how do I take it out please?
Thanks!"

Also, is there a tool for the eccentric pig nose / socket holes, previous owner didn't seem to have it (Not Ian, but before him I'm sure), or it's a bad tool, a la freewheel two pin tool style... Would be nice to be able to adjust chain tension without butchering the alloy...

Can I see more of that foot pedal brake?
Sorry it took me so long to reply to this!
Pictures of rear brake foot lever/pedal... It provides more power than the handle bar lever that also operates the rear tambour...

Oh, and sorry for incessant posting, but now I'm refurbishing the Orbit, the old Sun Wasp tandem is for sale, must have cost near £300 to bring it to the current refurbished state, I suppose £150 is ok for a good looking, low performance but fully functional bike? Come and try it, pm me for details if interested...

The BB won't be tandem specific, but from those photos I can't tell how it works. But I do think you have a better chance of removing it if you put the EBB back in so you have it anchored.
Are there two holes on the outside faces for a pin spanner?
-

Yes, I'll put it back in frame to hold it should I need brute force to remove it.
No holes for pin spanner, only that single slot on the drive side, doesn't allow for lockring tool to fit...
What confuses me is that it looks like there no thread inside, only to the outside to secure lockring. -

Smash it with a hammer until it bleeds

Our tandem made an appearance at our wedding. Substitute disco ball!

Use a bench vise to hold the cup and a pair of Allen keys to get some torque on the insert? The usual suggestions RE penetrative oils etc will help.
Alternatively, find a new insert! -

It may be worth having a look on SJS cycles...some bottom brackets need special tools and they may have them.
They may have a new BB too if you're stuck. Hard to find small parts are generally on there :)

Thanks @JWestland and @hamrack , will explore options, if I can't remove I'll re-install as it is, feels smooth enough, only wanted to clean and refit nicely the eccentric insert, will not be able to tension timing chain otherwise as it was bit far from irreversible chemical seizing... I feel it might be a threadless bottom bracket though, but can't find online anything looking similar.

will not be able to tension timing chain otherwise
If all else fails, there's always the ghost ring option

Is there a recommendation for a pin spanner to suit an EBB like the above? Mine could do with adjusting, got a Park Tool one but the pins are way undersized, need something like 5mm.

I got married last Saturday, but my other half was adamant she couldn't ride our tandem in her dress.
Rep to both of you!

congrats! 'ability to ride a tandem whilst wearing' was a key consideration in dress choice, I believe. Not so much with the footwear though.
@umop3pisdn not an ideal solution but my ghetto/stuck in the wilds method is to stick a screwdriver through the pin hole and turn crank around against the screwdriver. Not exactly the right way to do it, but it works...

Tried that. Indents in crank arm, no ebb movement.

Oh glorious penetrating oil, oh great powers of the hammering force!
Must be some kind of early sealed bb...
The propeller will make the tandem amphibian because global warming.
